The White House is the house where Lawrence Durrell lived and wrote his most famous novels. The house is located at the very end of Kalami bay just in front of the wave. It hasn't been changed in character since 1900, although its accommodation has been much inproved, in a charming and characterful local style.
The top floor forms an unusually spacious and airy apartment, still with the original dinning table and desk that Durrel whote on, which can accommodate 8 adults in total.
